LM Bambini’s Tour of Europe.
Get ready for the ultimate Kids' Fashion Adventure with LM Bambini’s Tour of Europe.
Touring Europe on the hunt for the ultimate kids’ fashion sounds like a tough gig, right? Someone has to do it, so we said goodbye to our families and in the post-covid chaos of airport craziness, our LM Bambini family set off for a European excursion. This is part of our bi-annual shopping tour, so we really ensure our fingers are on the pulse when it comes to staying up to date with the very latest in kids' fashion.
During our trip, LM Bambini Founder, Nat was joined by Alex (Head of Buying) and Isabel (Content Creator). We also had the opportunity to meet with Ame from Eleuthia Fashion Group, who showed us around Paris, and Paola from Sophia Webster in Milan. Over the course of our journey through three cities, we visited our suppliers at their ‘ateliers’ (studios) and personally selected the finest designer pieces for our collection
Bonjour Paris
First stop - Paris, the city of love. In Paris, we were excited to meet with the team at Tartine et Chocolat. It’s an iconic brand that embodies French sophistication, drawing on beauty and elegance from the attention to detail to the high quality of fabrics that have become synonymous with their name. This brand has a full range of products from gorgeous dresses to handmade soft toys, furniture, perfumes, eyewear and even wallpaper. You can’t go to Paris and not indulge in delectable Cedric Grolet pastries that literally melt in your mouth. Afterwards, we waltzed past the Eiffel Tower—every bit as spectacular as the movies. The afternoon was spent browsing the latest collections at Lison Paris. We found the most adorable pieces for our LM Bambini collection, which we can’t wait to show off. Amelie showed us her favourite French restaurants in Paris and the best places to shop, including the flagship stores of Louis Vuitton, Dior and Hermes.
Bonjourno Milan
The next stop: Milan—the fashion capital of Italy. It felt surreal waking up in the birthplace of iconic fashion brands like Dolce and Gabbana, Versace and Moschino.
The day started out with trying some of Italy's finest coffee. Nat couldn’t pass on the opportunity to have a Nutella Cornetto (Nutella croissant) before visiting the Galleria Vito Emmanuelle—a shopping arcade with a touch of elegance from the 19th century, housing some of Milan's most luxurious boutiques—located near the Versace headquarters. In Milan, we met with the teams at Moschino, Fendi, Balmain and Stella McCartney Kids. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come.
It wasn’t all work because we got to enjoy the best Italian cuisine at Felice restaurant. Is there anything better than fresh pasta, artichokes and Tiramisu in Milan? We don’t think so!
Ciao Florence
Next on our itinerary was a stunning train trip through the Italian countryside to reach Florence—the city famous for its pasta, gelato and art. Florence held great significance for us as it’s the birthplace of the annual Pitti Immagine event.—an iconic trade fair for the fashion industry held twice a year and showcases the latest collections for fashion brands and designers. This was one of our favourite days as we spent our time carefully selecting pieces from top brands like Molo and Tutu du Monde to add to our already extensive kids' fashion collection. A buying tour certainly isn’t complete without sampling the local cuisine, so over a candle-lit dinner, we were game to try the Tuscan speciality of wild boar ravioli, as the freshest pasta in white truffle sauces in the bustling Mercato Centrale.
Our European tour was a huge success and we hope you’re excited to see what we’ve selected for you and your little ones. If you’re looking for high-quality fashion for your kids, be sure to browse our designer collections. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it. Don’t forget to leave a comment and let us know what you’re hoping to see in our collection. Au Revoir.
